The slap
Khadidja has just arrived in Algiers to live with her brother Malek who will soon be registering her to attend school. With him she explores Algiers-the-White and discovers the reality of life there in 1955. One day, following an altercation with the police, Malek is arrested, leaving Khadidja alone.
